We had a short & sweet stay here! The beds were quite comfortable, and there were 2 thick covers already on each bed, with a third cover in the room just in case. This was more than enough for us to feel comfortable / warm enough, given that it does get chilly in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful with our questions. The place itself is lovely. Would definitely recommend!
Such a wonderful gem of a hotel in Angangueo. The staff make all the difference and the rooms are comfy and charming. I stay here often when visiting the nearby monarch reserves and just love it.
We loved this hotel and the people that worked here! No one really spoke English but we were able to get by with our limited Spanish and they were very gracious. The hotel was about a thirty minute drive to both El Rosario and Chincua which were both amazing. The rooms are simple and clean. Pack warm clothes! It gets cold at night (we were here in February) and there isn't heat in the rooms. The courtyard is brightly painted and well maintained. In the afternoon they played beautiful spanish guitar music throughout the courtyard. The showers do get hot water but it is short lived. I wold turn it on get wet shampoo and rinse turn of the water while I soaped and did conditioner and by the time I turned it back on the water was hot again and I had enough to finish the shower. They provide plenty of towels soap and shampoo. The food was amazing! We are vegetarian and ate amazing three-four courses at every meal. A meal for four was usually around 350 pesos. Definitely recommend this hotel!
